David’s Place Resort was founded in the year 1984 by brothers David and Jim Doughty.

From its humble beginnings, David’s Place is now one of the biggest budget properties within the Yasawa Chain of Islands. David’s Place has made such an impact within the business world that it was awarded the ‘The Century International Quality Era Award’ in the Gold Category and was described as ‘an entity for achievement, and to recognize quality and excellence’.

David's Place is built along the shoreline of Tavewa. Walk up a sandy walkway to the 'meeting house' - the dining room and bar.

For accommodation, there are 3 rows of neatly tiled and concrete floored 'Bures' - the Fijian Thatched houses of our forefathers well renowned for its ability to be 'cool in the summer and warm in winter'. Along the middle row are 2 Double Deluxe 'bures' with private facilities. Nestled further back is a modern 26-bed dorm with its own facilities. Serviced daily by our housemaids, we ensure that you get the best for less.

At nights the only sound you hear is the gentle lullaby of the waves guaranteed to put you off to deep sleep…Wake up in the morning and watch the sunrise out from your window or if you are adventurous, hike up to the top of the mountain to witness the glory of the sunrise spreading its rays heavenwards from across the vast ocean
